11月5日 A Horrible Awakening...This morning we had a knock at the door bearing bad news.
Shawn, Bobby's oldest son who is 18, was hit by a car last night. I dont really know all of the details, but we were told he was walking alongside the road and was hit by a car and totalled it. He was airlifted to Orlando Regional and was admitted as John Doe. Dont know why cause he always has his wallet w/ID. Finally after finding out who he was his mother was contacted at 9 pm. They had to do emergency surgery on his head cause he had a huge gash in the back that was big enough to put a hand inside and he had a blood clot. And from what his mom told me over the phone, he has stiches going from his chin up acrossed the whole side of his face. Surgery went well though. He also has a broken leg and arm which the Doctors arent worried about until every thing is ok with his head injury. Ultrasounds were done on his insides and everything looks good except for the fact that he is non responsive and is in a coma.
Bobby and I are in complete shock. It hasnt really settled in yet. But there really hasnt been too much talking about it. I have called in to work tomorrow, cause we are going to go see him. We werent going to cause at first we were told we wouldnt be able to see him. Which no matter if we could see him or not, I wanted to. Bobby didnt. So, we are going to stay the night there. (Mom, hope that is ok, call me if you read this before I talk to ya) I'm waiting on Bobby to check all the fluids on the truck and change two tires, then we will probably be headed that way.
So all I ask is that who ever reads this please pray for Shawn. Its not looking too good right now. But miracles do happen.
11月2日 Happy Birthday to me and Kaileb!! Hey! Well, today is my birthday! Yep! The big 24! And tomorrow is my son Kaileb's birthday. He'll be 2!
Two years ago, on this day, I was admitted to the hospital to have my son. I thought for sure we were going to share the same birthday. But he was stubborn, of course. He had to have his own special day. Its still nice cause we can still celebrate together. Even though there isnt much of celebrating for me anymore. Yeah, I didnt do anything for me b-day. Cleaned my house for my dad and step mom to visit tomorrow. They are gonna spoil my son and I. Should be lots of fun! :) I dont have anything planned for Kaileb's b day. I was gonna have a party but found out nobody could come if I did. So, I'm looking into going to a local petting zoo and just giving him a day of fun. He's only 2, he wont hold it against me if he doesnt have a party. Will he?!? Plus, I'm baking cupcakes for him to bring to daycare, so he'll have his own little miniature party there. Backtracking a couple days....Trick or treating was great! The kids had to keep emptying their bags and buckets they were so full! After going to 3 different church functions, they came home with a total of 3 I repeat 3 walmart bags FULL of candy!!! Its enough to last a year! Bobby didnt come. He went and bought some candy in case some trick or treaters came by, which they didnt. So we have that too. Then, a lady across the street gave the kids her leftover candy too. Thank God, when we went to Trick-or -Treat on Main Street, they got new toothbrushes and toothpaste, cause they are sure going to need it!
